What we are and aren't
Lake Charles Tree Removal is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.
Louisiana licenses tree work for hire. The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry's Horticulture Commission requires an arborist license for anyone who works on trees for a fee, including removal, pruning and trimming. License holders have to pass a state exam, show proof of general liability insurance and, where it applies, workers' compensation, and sign a written contract with the property owner. A Texas license doesn't count for routine work here. Ask for the Louisiana arborist license number, check it against LDAF's published list, and ask for a current certificate of insurance before anyone climbs.
